July 11 - 13 Commuter Camp

First session begins at 9:00am
Last session ends at 8pm on the 13th

9 - 11:30     Session
1 - 3:30       Session
5:30 - 7:30  Games (Optional for older players)

What to Bring

Stick, shin guards, mouth guard, astroturf shoes, tennis shoes, rain gear. Goalies need to bring their own equipment.
Overnight campers should also bring their own pillows, towels, linens, toiletries, fan, and alarm clock.
Commuters need to bring their own lunch.

Where

Ocker Field, home of the 2001 NCAA Champion Michigan field hockey team and at Michigan Stadium, home of the Wolverine football team.

Camp Features/Description

Camp program includes - videotapes of recent international, individualized instruction, staff demonstration games, question and answer session, camper entertainment and a camp store. The camp store will be available for purchasing sticks, shin guards, stick bags, apparel and much more.

Lodging

All overnight campers will be housed on the campus of the University of Michigan.

Meals

Overnight campers receive breakfast, lunch and dinner at the University of Michigan residence hall dining facilities. Day campers and commuters must bring their own lunch or purchase a meal card at the time of check in. There is no dinner served in the dorm on Sunday, July 7th. The camp will provide pizza for all campers.

Dorm Counselors

Camp counselors will be mature, responsible individuals assigned by the University of Michigan's Residential Housing Department. The counselors will live in the residence hall, supervise the campers at night and run evening activities.

Medical Care

Accident and Health Insurance for campers should be arranged by parents. Certified athletic trainers will attend all instructional sessions and be in the dorms overnight. The field hockey training room provides access to medical equipment for most training needs. Additionally, the University of Michigan hospital is nearby in the event of a medical emergency.

The camps are open to any and all campers and limited only to age and number of spaces available.
